Four color directions for specimen branches

The original feature described lavender, dark purple marketed as black, yellow and white tulip magnolia branches. Their large individual flowers make the branches useful for a statement design; ask the farm which varieties and stem grades suit your scale.

A Chinese New Year branch program

The embedded email paired magnolia with tall wild forsythia, salmon and white quince, double quince and pussy willow. It later outlined February cherry and Pieris offerings and March-to-May dogwood, spirea, viburnum and hellebores. These were the planning windows of the archived program.

Forcing and color are linked

The newsletter observed that early forcing could produce paler colors, and that cool, frost-free holding after forcing could deepen some branch colors. Treat this as farm guidance to discuss for the actual variety and bud stage, not a guaranteed response for every magnolia.

Plan a specimen order

Share your display date, colors, branch length and quantities, then compare the magnolia and branch-care guides. Historical prices and “now shipping” announcements have been replaced with links to the current list.
