Extra-Tall Wild Forsythia for Chinese New Year Displays
Winter–spring
Extra-tall wild forsythia adds height, bright yellow flowers and irregular branching to Chinese New Year merchandising and large floral installations.
Wild form rather than uniform stems
The original feature emphasized height and natural, untamed branching. Photographs showed forsythia blooming in the field, medium stems packed in a bag, and the bud stage at shipping—useful distinctions when planning scale.
Pairing yellow with quince
Wild-form quince offered a contrasting branch shape and flower color. The email also featured salmon, white and double quince, pussy willow, and magnolia as part of its winter program.
Plan the opening stage
The farm’s newsletter noted that forced branches can open paler than their natural field color. Cool holding above freezing was suggested after forcing. Confirm your arrival date and desired display stage before shipment.
