The 2023 Flowering-Branch Program: Winter to Spring

Winter–spring / 2023 program

The 2023 preview laid out the sequence of the farm’s flowering branches from winter through spring. Its value today is as a planning reference for the range and progression of crops.

Winter opens the program

Pussy willow, tulip magnolia and forsythia were announced for the following week, with quince following. The Chinese New Year assortment included peach, double-flowering quince and limited white quince alongside those winter stems.

February transitions

Single white cherry was shown before pink double cherry in the early-February program. White and limited pink Pieris japonica followed in mid-February. New magnolia colors in that preview included white, black and bright yellow.

The later spring palette

Flowering dogwood and spirea completed the later-season preview. The source linked a 2023 price list and an availability spreadsheet; neither should replace the current list. Confirm this year’s sequence and the stage needed for a particular event with the farm.
