The opening crops

Forsythia, tulip magnolia and pussy willow were announced for the following week, with quince also approaching. The holiday program included peach, double-flowering quince and limited white quince, giving buyers a broad range of color and structure.

Moving through February

The preview placed single white cherry ahead of pink double cherry in early February and Pieris japonica around mid-February. White, black and bright yellow magnolias were highlighted as newer additions in that program.

Late-season possibilities

Flowering dogwood and spirea completed the preview. The article also mentioned the family’s Ultimook youth running camp on the Oregon Coast. Use the crop sequence for inspiration and consult the current list or farm team for this season’s timing and packs.
