Pussy Willow, Curly Willow & Winter Shipping: December 2021
Newsletter dated December 31, 2021
This late-December 2021 newsletter featured pussy willow, curly willow, and red dogwood while recording an unusual interruption to Oregon Coast shipping.
Winter branches before spring flowers
The article identifies pussy willow among the farm’s winter materials alongside curly willow and red dogwood. The attached preview also included forsythia, quince, and tulip magnolia for the beginning of the flowering-branch season.
Weather affected the original shipment week
An exceptional period of snow and ice restricted office hours and interrupted local FedEx operations. This advisory described December 2021 conditions and is retained as history, not a current shipping alert.
Allow for the season when planning
The preview moved from winter branches into cherry, Pieris, spirea, and dogwood. For a present order, provide the desired ship and display dates so the farm can account for actual weather, harvest, and carrier conditions.
