Double-Pink Cherry Branches and the Bud Stage at Shipping
Newsletter dated March 2, 2019
This March 2019 feature emphasized pink and white cherry branches staged shortly before opening, with the earliest spring forms appearing alongside them.
Different timing within the cherry program
The embedded email said white cherry was a few days short of the pictured bloom stage and cautioned that very early pink cherry differed in quality from later-season cuts. Discuss your display date with the farm.
Prunus color was mixed
The grower described a predominantly hot-pink prunus crop with some white flowers, without being able to tell the final color before shipping. Color-specific designs need confirmation of the actual offered material.
A personal coastal update
A chainsaw carving and a nearby elk herd accompanied the product notes. Pieris, forsythia, pussy willow, magnolia and quince filled out that historical spring selection.
