Yellow Forsythia and January’s Mountain Man Profile
Historical seasonal newsletter
Explore a historical yellow-forsythia newsletter pairing Chinese New Year quince and magnolia with a profile of rock collector Joseph Smith.
From the original crop report
The newsletter announced forsythia, quince and tulip magnolia and encouraged planning the Chinese New Year branch program before further spring crops arrived.
Details from the farm
Joseph Smith appeared as January’s Mountain Man of the Month. Patrick described him as a rock collector whose home held crystals, gems and other finds.
Seasonal context
The email also featured the Oregon Coast landscape and elk. Old scarcity messages, bundle charges and shipping statements belong to that historical winter.
