Big Blue Hydrangeas for Wholesale Wedding Flowers
Summer
Learn about the farm’s coastal hydrangea growing conditions and the large blue flowers featured in this archived summer wedding-flower update.
Hydrangeas shaped by the Oregon coast
The original article described six acres devoted to hydrangeas and highlighted the mild temperatures, moisture and soil of the coast. That acreage is a historical detail from the feature, rather than a new statement about the farm’s current planted area.
A substantial blue focal flower
Large blue flower heads provide mass and color in wedding arrangements and other floral designs. The archived email also showed lavender and purple hydrangeas, giving buyers a wider coastal-grown palette to consider.
A summer harvest snapshot
Ryegrass grower bunches, flowering hypericum, pinkish viburnum berries, fruiting blueberry branches and flowering ninebark appeared with the hydrangeas. The post also noted that Alderbrook Golf Course had become The Mook at Alderbrook, a family-business connection.
