Fresh Blueberry Branches as Specialty Cut Material
Newsletter dated June 2, 2022
Fresh blueberry branches bring green fruit and a different texture to floral work. This June archive records the return of that specialty material to the farm’s list.
Green berries for floral texture
The original article described fresh-cut blueberry branches with green fruit, valued for their durability in a vase. The photographs show the branches as ornamental material for florists rather than as a fruit crop being sold for eating.
A return after disruption
The embedded 2022 newsletter said the first blueberry shipment was returning after a two-year disruption associated with COVID. That detail is retained as harvest-program history; it should not be read as a claim about the timing of a current shipment.
What to specify when inquiring
Ask about berry stage, branch length, quantities and the delivery window. The historical list also included peonies, dogwood, ninebark and Spring Lace viburnum, with a photograph of the farm in spring. Use today’s availability to confirm which of those materials can be ordered together now.
