A New Generation: Nina’s First Farm Newsletter & Gloriosa Vines
Newsletter dated July 20, 2021
Meet Nina in her first farm email, sharing daily flower work, university plans and a summer assortment that included long-stemmed Gloriosa lily vines.
Nina introduces herself
Nina wrote that she had just graduated from Tillamook High School and would attend Oregon State University in the fall to study marketing and business. She hoped to return and help with the business side of the farm. This was her first attempt at creating an email for customers.
Learning through daily farm work
She described picking flowers, weeding and pruning while testing her marketing skills through daily Instagram updates about farm activities. She also introduced her dog Cruise, named after Tom Cruise. The trail camera had captured a cougar and three cubs that week.
The flowers behind the story
Gloriosa lily vines appeared among a wide summer offering of hydrangeas, blackberries, viburnum, ninebark, montbretia and forest materials. The archived list records the 2021 season; current quantities and shipping come from today’s fresh list.
