Ultimook Running Camp: A Family-Farm Story from 2020
Newsletter dated August 22, 2020
An August 2020 archive introduces Ultimook Running Camp's emphasis on leadership, running, and the Oregon coast, with childhood memories of Nina.
A camp rooted in the landscape
The source described young runners visiting coastal routes while using Hydrangea Ranch as a base. Its stated mission was to develop runners in both mind and body.
Leadership as well as training
The original post emphasized teaching young athletes to become better leaders and inspiring them to improve. This records the camp's purpose at the time; current dates and programs belong on the camp website.
Growing up on the farm
The accompanying newsletter shared an older photograph of Nina with farm animals and reflected on gratitude for family life outdoors beside the river. Seasonal hydrangea lists in that email are historical.
