Solomon’s Seal: Green Texture and Dainty White Flowers
Newsletter dated April 30, 2020
Explore Solomon’s seal as a specialty cut with green texture and small white flowers, introduced in the farm’s April 2020 newsletter.
Texture as well as flowers
Patrick describes Solomon’s seal as green textured material with delicate white flowers. He emphasizes harvesting at the right stage for lasting quality, without setting a universal vase-life guarantee.
An introduction to wholesale buyers
The embedded email identifies this as the first offering of Solomon’s seal and records ten stems per bunch. A shorter burgundy hellebore was also newly featured in that season.
The late-April assortment
Snowball viburnum, flowering dogwood, white and pink cherry and pussy willow appeared with the new crop. The newsletter expected peony shipping to begin May 4. Confirm today’s crop stage and packing independently of this historical program.
