Pink Snowball Viburnum Before Green Snowballs
Newsletter dated April 23, 2020
Discover the farm’s archived observation that pink snowball viburnum flowers slightly before green snowballs, with blush-to-pink cuts and spring companions.
A blush-to-pink range
The article describes pink snowball viburnum as a newer specialty cut in shades from pink blush to pink. The rounded flower form is shown across the original farm photographs.
A useful timing distinction
Patrick notes that pink snowballs bloom slightly earlier than green snowballs. This relative timing can help start a seasonal conversation, but the actual overlap depends on the year and the harvest.
Spring 2020 context
The embedded email explained that mature hellebores were being offered wholesale when local markets closed, and that spirea was in plump bud. It also contained older repeated availability sections, so individual historical offers should not be treated as a single current list.
