Newsletter dated August 14, 2012

A 2012 summer catalogue groups orange and rust calla lilies with blue hydrangeas, gloriosa vines and hops, alongside Patrick’s Smith Rock coaching trip.

Calla lilies by color and grade

The historical list grouped calla lilies into boutonniere, bridal, premium, premium-plus, extra-tall mini, and select grades. Orange and rust appeared among the premium colors; burgundy, gold/yellow, white, and dark purple were other options.

A summer combination of shapes

The same newsletter paired callas with antique hydrangeas, hop vines, and gloriosa lilies on the vine. Orange asclepias, scented geranium, grasses, and other specialty items broadened that summer palette. These describe the old programme, not current stock.

From the farm to Smith Rock

Patrick shared a photograph of his cross-country team at training camp at Smith Rock State Park near Redmond, Oregon. The personal update sat beside farm and forest-product news, keeping the wholesale newsletter connected to everyday family life.
