Flocked Dogwood Selected for Horizontal Character
Historical seasonal newsletter
Explore the farm’s archived selection of horizontally branched dogwood for flocking, with twig trees, wreaths and budded winter specimens.
From the original crop report
Patrick explains that flowering dogwood was favored for flocking because of its horizontal branching. The source emphasizes choosing characterful shapes beneath the finished surface.
Details from the farm
Twig Christmas trees were presented as tabletop displays, with fine-twig wreaths and flocked pine in the wider program. A photograph introduced the person doing the flocking.
Seasonal context
Silver-tipped dogwood and magnolia in bud supplied unflowered specimen options. Historical custom-size offers and preorder requirements should be checked against the present Christmas program.
